PlayasOnly says F#%+ SOPA and PIPA

SOPA or Stop Online Piracy Act that wants to put a censorship on the internet.  The bill states that it wants to eliminate online piracy from foreign land, by cutting out their source of funding of any potentially infringing website. But there’s a catch, the way that will affect most of us you may never be able to download music or movies, but also information, precisely alternative information or what the government calls “misinformation”. That means they are trying to eliminate your Freedom of Expression, here’s an example China has no Facebook, they have an alternative, but they have censored Facebook from it’s population, if this is bound to happen here, than we might as well not call it a Democracy anymore. That is not constitutional at all, and everyday that goes by it seems like we are erasing the original doctrine of America.

These acts work under the guise that the movie and music industry is losing profit, because some Joe Smoe in the streets is selling bootleg videos and movies on some remote island in the Philippines? Bullcrap! The last time I heard the movie and music industries did pretty well on the profit margins last year. Luckily the Obama administration has shutdown SOPA indefinitely, but we still have PIPA coming.

Playasonly and plenty other company’s, share a common bond, we want to express our views FREELY on the subject matter, if this is eliminated from the realm us and many other websites will seize to exist. Please get in contact with your congressman or woman from your state tell them to vote NO. We must keep our freedoms; it is our God given right.
